RANCANG BANGUN SOLAR DRYER DOME UNTUK PENGERINGAN IKAN BERBASIS IoT MENGGUNAKAN MIKROKONTROLER ESP8266 DAN APLIKASI BLYNK

Abstract

Drying is one of the best fish processing methods in maintaining and extending the preservation period of fish from causes of decay and damage to fish. However, this drying process still has many limitations, especially in uncertain weather conditions such as cloudy, rainy, and carried out in open areas that will result in contamination by dust, animal waste, where this will slow down the fish drying process and affect the quality of fish and public health. This research aims to design and build a solar dryer dome equipped with Internet of Things (IoT) technology in providing a solution for the fish drying process. This designed system uses a prototype design method approach that involves the design and development process of the fish drying system. This solar drying dome is designed with a roof that allows fish to be dried in a closed space, this experimental setup combines a DHT22 temperature sensor to monitor temperature and humidity, as well as an ESP8266 microcontroller that is connected to the blynk application, with the tool control process carried out using a smartphone. The test results of this tool showed that anchovies could experience 86% shrinkage within 7 hours, and tembang fish experienced 85% shrinkage within 9 hours, with a temperature range of 450C-800C.
